Location Bridgeport, CT

No Remote Manufacturer of pastries, danish, croissants and bulk dough products distributed to Hotels, Restaurants and Grocery In-Store Bakeries throughout the US. 200 employees, 3 lines, 3 shift plant.

**Responsibilities:**

Reporting to the Plant Manager. Responsible for the cost-effective manufacturing of products consistent with required quality standards, safe work practices, effective housekeeping and maintaining compliance with personnel policies. Drive operational excellence and build organizational capability to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Culture objectives.

Manage daily production operations through the production supervisors and production teams to maximize production efficiency including labor cost, volume or product produced, run rates, raw material utilization, yield loss, downtime, and slowdown while producing high quality product in a safe manner. Prepare the daily production schedule; and ensure proper staffing levels to include managing department vacation and overtime to meet production goals.

Manage food safety standards and ensure compliance with HACCP, CCP, SQF, FDA. Staff training and development, LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications:**

BS / BA.

5+ years of experience in food manufacturing management with project management experience.

Experience in process and quality improvements, implementing strategy for production operations, hiring, training, coaching employees and performance management.

Lean, Six Sigma, CQE, or CQM certification.

Working knowledge of HAACP, CCP, SQF, FDA.

Salary $120 - 130K, +10% Annual Bonus, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), vacation, sick days, paid holidays and relocation assistance.
