Our enterprise-level client is seeking an individual with the qualities and experience listed below and a desire to work alongside a diverse group of technologists with a service-oriented mindset. Understanding the importance of customer service is paramount for this role, as is, interacting with staff and vendors. Pay Rate $65 - 75 per hour Responsibilities: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices Monitor network performance and integrity Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Mentor team members on technical issues Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) Communicate with users when needed Maintain complete technical documentation Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of network administration Implementing and Administrating FTD-NGFW, Meraki, Nexus, Catalyst, 9500, 9300, MDS 9148 and 3800 series switches Experience analyzing IPS events, Firewall Troubleshooting, Connectivity issues Knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting VPNs Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP) In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. EIGRP, OSPF) Broad experience in business continuity and disaster recovery processes Prior use of QoS & VoIP technologies Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools) BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Why Choose Merge IT?
