Citi Commercial Bank (CCB ) Venture Debt Product Transactor will be responsible for working with CCB leadership and organizational partners to launch the Venture Debt product capability to commercial bank clients. This individual contributor role will be responsible for originating and executing the extension of early-stage debt to venture backed corporates in support of the bank's broader emerging growth corporate relationship objectives. The CCB Venture Debt Transactor must have experience covering and working with venture capital firms as well as with venture backed corporates. A strong understanding of corporate finance and credit structuring are required and this professional must also have a deep experience executing venture debt transactions and accruing the the linked warrants. As this is a new product capability for Citibank, this individual must have excellent communication and diplomacy skills and have the ability to guide, influence, and convince others at senior levels both internally and externally in order to help create and set product parameters and deliver product solution to clients. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for actively calling on clients in partnership with Commercial Bankers to provide Venture Debt insight and solutions to early-stage clients of the firm.
- Accountable for end results, product planning and policy formulation related to Venture Debt as an important strategic capability for the firm.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications: - 15+ years relevant experience
- Proven track record of product expertise and supporting early-stage client relationships
Education: - Bachelor's degree, potentially Master's degree
