Required Skills: 6+ Year experience
- Strong in-depth experience on Citrix products especially with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop and its components
- Design, implement, and configure a new Citrix infrastructure to support Windows 11 desktop VDIs.
- Set up the Citrix environment including Citrix Delivery Controllers, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Director, Citrix License Server, and Citrix Gateway.
- Ensure compatibility with Windows 11 desktop VDIs and optimize for performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with networking, storage, and security teams to ensure proper integration of the new infrastructure components.
- Create new Windows 11 VDIs for pilot users, ensuring full functionality of all applications and day-to-day tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the pilot phase.
- Decommission and delete original, non-Windows 11 VDIs once the testing phase is complete.
- Identify the list of active and persistent users/VDIs that need to be upgraded to Windows 11.
- Coordinate with the business and user groups to understand application dependencies and usage patterns.
- Create an inventory of VDIs that are part of the migration project.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the creation and configuration of VDIs.
- Decommission original non-Windows 11 VDIs after users have successfully migrated to their new Windows 11 environment.
