Job Description:

The City of Meriden, KS, is seeking an applicant for City Clerk/Court Clerk. This position requires excellent accounting, finance, supervisory experience, records management, preparation of City Council Meeting Agendas and Minutes, maintain fiscal budget and oversees the utility customer services. The position would include being responsible for accounts payable, payroll, financials and paying applicable taxes on a timely basis.

You will be responsible for maintaining and processing municipal records and documents, such as ordinances, resolutions, deeds, contracts, correspondence, etc. You will manage council meetings and assist the mayor with council protocols. You will also sign, notarize and publish city documents and issue licenses and permits.

The court clerk would be responsible for recording tickets, collecting fines, sending letters to people that have not paid their fine or fines and attending court one day a month and filing documents to the appropriate places.
