We are looking for qualified dispatchers who can provide excellent customer service to both our passengers and our drivers.Join Transdev at Peoria and become a part of the largest private-sector operator of transportation in North America one that cares about its employees, passengers and the communities they serve.Why Work with Us?Hourly rate $17.68 with Annual raisesMedical/Dental/Vision health benefits - Blue Cross Blue Shield*401(K) retirement plan*Paid time off and holidays*Ability to advance your careerResponsibilities:Schedules and dispatches drivers both via radio and window dispatch workAnswers calls from clients and schedule servicesMaintains records, logs, and schedules of the calls received to schedule transit services, drivers dispatched, and customer cancellations or no-showsEnters data into spreadsheets and databasesPrepares reports on all activities occurring during their shiftsAssists with the preparation of daily schedules and work flow related to daily schedulingServes as an emergency contact for drivers in the fieldCoordinates communications between drivers and other supervisory, Risk Management, and Training/Safety personnel.Coordinates with municipal, county and other agencies in emergency situations or in traffic-routing problems, detours, enhanced service requirementsProvides coordination of schedules and directs work of Dispatchers in absence of Manager; works closely with Manager to administer the Dispatch functionDocuments and reports disciplinary issues to managerPerform Driver Duties as necessaryOther duties as requiredQualifications:Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalentExcellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations, and listen to feedbackA customer service oriented mentality with attention to detailMust have a minimum of 3 years driving experienceMust have weekend availabilityPre-Employment Requirements:Must submit to drug testing.
