Able to work independently on projects. Exhibits passion in applying knowledge, skills, and technology to deliver viable sustainable and elegant solutions to our client's problems. Mentors entry level engineers in the fundamentals and practices of water resource engineering.CIVIL ASSOCIATE ENGINEER JOB DUTIES
- Under minimal supervision, develops and prepares calculations, specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, construction submittals reviews, model setup and other technical deliverables for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects and related projects.
- Works closely with team members to gain understanding of project requirements and tasks as well as office procedures, polices, and guidelines.
- Manages less-complex projects from start through construction management.
- Assists Project Managers in the management of complex projects and prioritizes tasks to ensure that project needs, deadlines, and budgets are being met timely and effectively.
- Constructively contributes to a team environment with an active desire to learn and collaborate.
- Informs project manager of work progress and of any problems and questions.
- Leads by example and may coach less experienced colleagues in technical procedures within the company and encourages professional growth in others.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
- Experience managing less complex projects, such as water, sewer, and storm drain pipelines.
- Requires 6+ years' experience in water treatment and wastewater treatment, engineering analysis, and design of water distributions and wastewater collection facilities.
- Professional Registration as Civil Engineer in California required.
- Familiarity and understanding of wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics, and hydraulics.
- Central and Southern California professional Water Resources network is strongly desired.
- Demonstrates experience pertaining to water resource projects such as hydraulic modeling and distribution and collection system design.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other design software.
- Experience with diverse hydraulic modeling software platforms such as Innovyze, BioWin, and Bentley a plus.
