DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will oversee the operational performance of the Dam Safety, Waterways, and Wetlands Section within the Southcentral Regional Office. Your role will require you to effectively employ your communication abilities to provide guidance and information to contractors, consultants, staff from Conservation Districts, and the general public regarding matters primarily pertaining to water obstructions and encroachments in waterways and wetlands. Furthermore, you will maintain regular communication with your team to ensure they are well-informed about departmental policies and initiatives, enabling them to apply these directives effectively in their daily responsibilities. In addition, you will carry out independent or collaborative inspections and investigations concerning dams, encroachments, and wetland cases, subsequently preparing the necessary reports and correspondence in compliance with established policies and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate specialty and one year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers.
Special Requirement:
+ Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Condition of Employment:
+ This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
