This role combines responsibilities in both estimating and project management, offering a unique opportunity to oversee projects from inception to completion. The Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager will prepare detailed cost estimates for bids and manage awarded projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
  • Manage the project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to refine processes and improve future performance.
