The Role: SUMMARY: We have an immediate opening for a Civil Project Manager/ Inspector of our civil department in our Warren or Jersey City, NJ location. The position involves conducting on-site inspections and project management for civil/site work construction projects. The role requires ensuring construction projects comply with plans, specifications, and industry standards. The Project Manager/ Inspector will be responsible for coordinating internal meetings, ensuring project timelines are met, preparing reports and communications, conducting field inspections, and working closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to deliver successful project outcomes. Must have experience with site/civil construction particularly involving stormwater, roadway, concrete, retaining walls, grading, and drainage in residential and multi-family communities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Manage and coordinate project kick-off, milestones, and closeout meetings.
  • Communicate with clients throughout the process and prepare resident notifications/schedules.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, document conditions, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare field reports, review change orders, and payment applications.
  • Maintain project records and communicate status updates.
  • Support senior staff in client meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Participate in networking and marketing opportunities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant experience.
Work Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in construction or A&E consulting.
  • Experience with asphalt resurfacing/reconstruction, stormwater systems, concrete flatwork, retaining walls, and similar projects.
Licenses & Certifications
  • For degree holders: Engineering in Training Certification preferred.
  • OSHA-10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid United States Driver's License required, as this position requires travel to and from client sites.
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
  • Experience preferred in drafting software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Revit).
  • Ability to attend client meetings and events, as needed.
  • Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local areas as workload and projects when needed.

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
