MUST:

• A recent college grad with a degree in construction management, Project Management, or engineering degree (civil preferred)
• Experience with or desire to manage several subcontractors at a time
• Can give examples of being detail oriented, organized, and wants to learn
• Ability to learn how to read civil plans and specs
• Motivated and wants to grow

PLUS:

• Has been a PM in civil before
• Has worked for a BIG GC - HUGE PLUS
• Bachelor's degree
• Bridge/roadway construction experience/tollways

DAY TO DAY:

Our fast-growing client is looking for a Civil Project Manager to join their team in Illinois as a full-time employee. This person will focus on heavy civil projects and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the building of large construction projects, such as roadways, highways, and bridges. The PM is involved in the areas of pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, contract negotiation, and worker coordination. Civil project managers might supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.
