This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional with a strong background in claims handling, investigation, and analysis of liability. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle litigated claims and provide legal support in complex cases. Responsibilities:1. Managing all aspects of claims handling from inception through resolution, including but not limited to, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of claims.2. Conducting complex legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and court decisions.3. Representing the company in legal proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.4. Providing legal advice and guidance to claims professionals and other company stakeholders.5. Reviewing and interpreting policy language and insurance contracts.6. Developing and implementing legal strategies and tactics to bring about the most beneficial outcomes.7. Monitoring and managing potential claims to mitigate risks and losses.8. Keeping abreast of current trends, practices, and developments in the insurance industry.9. Collaborating with other departments to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.Qualifications:1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.2. Admitted to practice law in the state.3. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Claims Attorney, with a demonstrated history of handling claims, conducting investigations, and analyzing liability.4. Proven experience in handling litigated claims.5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.8. Proficient in legal research and writing.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.11. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.12.
