Investigate, evaluate and determine coverage onsite to resolve moderate to severe complexity claims; including preparing complete estimates of repair for covered damages. Handle moderate to severe complexity claims assigned with little supervision. Work with and may coordinate with several vendor services such as: contractors, emergency repair, plumbers, environmental, housing, cleaning services, engineers and various replacement services. Communicate and interact with a variety of individuals including insureds, attorneys, public adjusters and forensic experts. Explain benefits, coverages, and claims process either verbally or in writing. Apply knowledge of state and federal laws, statutes and insurance regulations through the claim handling process. Maintain accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process. Proficient knowledge of Xactimate estimating platform to prepare claims estimates.
