Our client is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Claims Specialist Location: Livingston, NJ Pay : $ 75,000 - $80,000 What's the Job? The Claim Specialist will be responsible for managing the claims process for clients from start to finish with an exceptional ability to achieve the best possible outcome for internal and external clients. This position necessitates a professional who will bring and can deliver exceptional service to our clients. Exposure to a wide variety of claims is a plus. Must be a quick learner and able handle significant volume and competing demands. Timeliness and accuracy in managing responsibilities is required, despite competing demands. This position will have a focus on handling personal lines claims for high-net worth individuals. Essential Functions and Job Duties:
  • Work closely with management and producers on the delivery of claim service to meet client expectations.
  • Effectively communicate with all internal/external customers.
  • Manage and oversee claims data in database including claims updates, running claims runs, analyzing claims information and preparing information for underwriting and/or client review.
  • Manage claims status and prompts various parties, staff, client and adjuster to take next step; including prepayment, partial payment, gather information, etc.
  • Partner with client's legal counsel on coverage, claims, and strategy for settlement.
  • Prepare and analyze loss valuations.
  • Attend and organize claims meetings with clients, carriers, legal counsel, and adjusters to review claim status, resolve and settle issues.
  • Use negotiation skills to provide the best possible outcome for clients as needed.
  • Build and establish strong relationships with carriers, adjusters, and clients.
  • Conduct Claim Closure Projects.
  • Proficiency in the AMS, Epic is a plus.
