The Illinois Health and Hospital Association seeks a Claims Specialist, Medical Malpractice, responsible for assisting the Claims and Litigation Supervisors, Senior Claims and Litigation Supervisors and AVP, Claims by processing claims documents and maintaining claim files, processing correspondence, preparing reinsurance reports, processing legal invoices, assisting in ascertaining and documenting relevant facts relating to professional and general liability claims. The ideal candidate will have a background working as a Claims Specialist, Assistant, Analyst or similar role with an insurance company or working at a law firm or corporation processing claims or legal related documents. The ideal candidate will possess a desire to work in a hybrid work environment with the med mal claims and litigation team. Associate's degree or a minimum of 2 years' experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Team player who can manage multiple projects. Weekly presence in an IHA office is required.
