These include general maintenance of food service areas, and assisting the center staff with classroom activities. This position is supervised by the Area Service Manager. Major Duties
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • Responsible for washing dishes and disposal of trash.
  • Will assist the teacher with classroom activities and decorations of the classroom.
  • Will be required to rotate to centers as the need arises.
  • Will assist with outdoor activities, and supervision.
  • Will perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 30-40 pounds in all directions.
  • Driving a County vehicle or a personal vehicle.
  • Working in low temperatures.
  • Working in high temperatures.
  • Working in noisy environments.
  • Working small and/or enclosed spaces.
  • Working in adverse environmental conditions is expected.
  • Light work that includes carrying objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Medium work that includes carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
Constantly
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

  • Drug and Alcohol Policy applies to this job. Pre-employment drug/alcohol and criminal background checks are required.
  • Must have a driver's license and insurable transportation or obtain DL within 3 months.
  • This position is not covered by Civil Service and, therefore, is subject to all the Webb County Policies, and Webb County Head Start addendum.
