As a Clean Energy Sales Engineer at Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc. (TESI), you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our clean energy technology platforms including hydrogen, battery and thermoelectrics. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, selling TESI's products and fostering customer relationships to maximize market penetration and revenue generation. You will help identify and support sales channel development. This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in clean energy markets, applications and proven business development skills. Detailed Description: Customer Engagement and Sales
  • Understand a customer's application requirements and help identify tailored solutions.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate and close deals to achieve revenue targets.
  • Assists in the creation of marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
  • Develops and hits revenue targets for your territory.
  • Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts and sales stimulus activities including planned seminars, product shows, and mailings.
  • Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing account profiles.
  • Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.
  • Occasional availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to support international business goals and deadlines.
Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and regulatory frameworks to identify key opportunities for hydrogen solutions.
Business Strategy Development
  • Work within the TESI Clean Energy team to implement strategic plans to drive the growth of Teledyne Energy Systems' hydrogen, fuel cell, thermoelectric and battery businesses.
  • Define target markets, customer segments, and product positioning strategies based on market research and analysis.
New Business Identification and Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the clean energy market, including collaborations, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers and projects, tracking progress and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Partnership and Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders, such as OEMs, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure successful execution of business development strategies.
  • Coordinate with technical team to develop/write proposals, track and follow-up on submittals.
  • Travel to customer and industry events to represent Teledyne and expand company presence and relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of hydrogen and battery technologies preferred.
  • Proven track record in identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, especially in the energy sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute business plans.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain / maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000.00 annual (commensurate with experience, training, and education) Pay Transparency: The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education / training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
