Job Description:

THE POSITION

The PA Department of Transportation is searching for Clerical Assistant 2s to fill several vacancies in the Road User Charge (RUC) Unit. If you are efficient, detail oriented, and have an interest in clerical work, this may be the position for you. The selected candidates will perform clerical functions in this newly formed unit and will be collecting fees from Electric Vehicles (EV) and Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

These positions will perform administrative functions in tracking all registered EV and PHEV vehicles in Pennsylvania ensuring RUC payments are made or vehicles are flags to prevent future registration until RUC is paid.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment.

* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

* Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

* Graduation from high school; or

* An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
