High School Diploma2. Basic knowledge of computers3. Prior experience using various software programs4. Proficient in communication skills5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.REPORTS TO:Person designated by the Board or the superintendent.JOB GOAL:To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Supervises staff members designated by the Board or the superintendent.2. Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly run office.3. Maintains such student records as shall be required.4. Receives and routes all incoming calls.5. Maintains a daily teacher attendance log, and the concomitant records for substitute teachers.6. Rings the bells that signal school opening, class-changing time, and school closing.7. Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as required.8. Processes all changes and adjustments in student schedules after the second week of the school year.9. Performs bookkeeping tasks and compiles reports as directed by supervisor.10. Maintains a log of visitors to the school.11. Performs other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk and hear. In addition to sitting, the employee must frequently squat, stoop and kneel.
