Job Description:

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant to work alongside, and under the direction of the Executive Assistant to the company Chairman.

The successful candidate for this position must have effective communication skills, detail oriented and resourceful. Must demonstrate initiative, good judgment and always maintain discretion.

Some essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • General Office administration (scheduling, phones, memo/letter writing)
  • Heavy personal and business calendar coordination (Outlook)
  • On-line research
  • Knowledge of current events
  • Review incoming mail and/or email, prioritize, and summarize content
  • Compose, draft, proof, edit and finalize confidential memos and correspondence
  • Maintain various critical excel spreadsheets with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel), Adobe and Outlook
  • Consummate professional
  • Telephone etiquette
  • Excellent written (grammar, spelling, formatting), interpersonal & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, guests, and internal and external contacts
  • Must be extremely trustworthy to work with highly confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to go the extra mile
  • Must be resourceful with the ability to navigate shifting priorities
  • Cheerful outlook with a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Flexible to work varying schedule and when necessary (overtime may be required)

Position Location: Main Office of Yonkers Contracting in Yonkers, NY. Work from home is not available.

Hourly Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour
