Meet and greet patients, visitors and family members in a respectful/professional manner. Manage patient scheduling, ensuring optimal appointment availability and minimizing wait times. Serve as a liaison between administrative and clerical staff fostering effective communication. Schedule appointments through Epic Wisdom our electronic medical record. Maintain professional decorum and courtesy toward patients and colleagues. Adhere to HHC/Woodhull Medical Center's dress code policy and procedures. Adhere to appropriate procedures for following up on broken appointments. Reminder calls and preregistration to made to patients on a daily basis. Referral WQ's to be assigned daily to staff. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by Manager/Administrator of Service Under direction of the unit head, assists in supervising personnel performing clerical related activities. Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient task completion. Handle patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all administrative activities. Provide coverage and support to other Ambulatory care practices as needed.Minimum Qualifications1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.NYC Health and Hospitals offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
