Job Summary:The Clerical Inventory Clerk is responsible for day-to-day inventory procedures within the warehouse that includes monitoring warehouse inventory and performing product counts as necessary ensuring that all materials are properly verified and accurate in the company database.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all products are in stock and available for distribution in the warehouse utilizing SAP and our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Prepare, maintain, and record inventories, receipts, purchases, and/or deliveries to assess supply needs. Upholds appropriate inventory levels.
- Confirm the accuracy of the Perpetual Inventory through the prescribed period counts, research of inventory variances found, maintenance of product location integrity, and monitoring of general product physical integrity.
- Performs daily stock counts and researching the variances discovered through the count process.
- Audit product locations (reserve & pick) to ensure their accuracy.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues with shipments.
- Identify and report damaged product found while performing counts or audits.
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measures item of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Operating Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) in the unloading and unpacking of products from trucks, processing return items and ensuring proper item storage.
- Performing regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications
- PIT experience with reach truck and any other PIT equipment required.
- Min 1 year of proven experience in Inventory Control and Inventory Management experience.
- Strong data analytical skills with experience working with large data sets using various tools.
- Previous experience utilizing a warehouse scan gun.
- Excellent understanding of Excel. Attention to detail and basic math skills are required.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills are needed.
- WMS experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to lift and move heavy merchandise items.
- Flexible schedule, including ability to work on weekends, as needed.
