LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Rd, Fairport NY 14450 - Creekside School
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month Position, Full-Time
STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible
SALARY RANGE: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour
* Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
1. General clerical duties including telephone skills, typing (preparation of letters and written reports), filing, scheduling, assist office visitor, and office organization.
2. Maintain confidential student and staff records and data bases.
3. Maintain department documents and communications.
4. Organize department records.
5. Process routine Business Office and Human Resources documents.
6. Exhibit effective problem-solving skills in daily interactions with all internal and external visitors to the office.
7. Other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility as Office Clerk II: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either:
(A) Three (3) years of paid full-time or part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field, plus one (1) year of office clerical or secretarial experience; OR
(C) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
NOTES:
* Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
* Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered appropriate experience.
2. Excellent management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
3. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
4. Ability to work under pressure and as a team member.
5. Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Publisher) and Adobe Acrobat.
6. Skilled in the use of multiple applications and systems.
7. Collaborative Office Skills.
8. Experience with budget and finance preferred.
9. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
