University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Health Information Management, Release of Information Division is seeking an individual to join our team as a full-time Clerk IV to perform release of information of protected health information. This position is 100% on-site and is not currently eligible to participate in remote work. Hybrid remote work may be available in the future.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm with hour unpaid lunch. Additional overtime hours as needed.

Position Responsibilities:
* Process release of information legal requests for medical information from attorneys, law enforcement, medical examiner, and regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
* Must record release of information requests in electronic Release of Information Tracking system.
* Process medical records for requests for patient care and other clinical needs.
* Evaluate, prioritize, and process requests for patient information referred to the Health Information Management Department.
* Answer multi-line phone.
