Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Minimum of one year of full-time responding to requests for medical records.
- RHIT/RHIA Preferred; NOT required. The ideal candidate will have their first year of RHIT/RHIA training complete.
- ROI experience, good c/s, clear communication. Will answer questions regarding form entry regarding medical forms. (ex: FMLA, disability, health screen etc).
- Will Access medical records must know HIPAA points of auth, ROI.
- Required experience for this role, responding to request for medical records . Should be knowledgeable of HIPPA rules. Should have at least 1 years exp in requesting medical records.
- We are looking for worker bees-people who have actually worked in a medical record department in any role where they were handling medical records but also having had some experience talking on the phone with patients, either in a medical records role or some other healthcare role where they were providing customer service, making appointments, etc.
- Epic EHR experience at that level would be a plus.
