Walnut St. Green Bay, WI Job Type: Full-time Job Number: 2024-01101 Department: Child Support Opening Date: 11/01/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Job Summary Performs varied and increasingly responsible clerical and typing work of a routine nature. Please note: Hours for this position are Monday thru Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays 7:30 am to 11:30 am. Essential Duties Creates, prepares and organizes child support documents. Scans all necessary papers into Laserfiche system. Maintains and updates all discontinued files. Enters and maintains metadata on the Laserfiche system. Updates and verifies information on the Kids Information Data System (KIDS). Confirms and verifies information in Client Assistance for Re-employment and Economic Support (CARES). Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Prepares mail for outgoing delivery. Runs errands as needed. Performs backup duties for the front desk by answering inquiries of a general non-restricted nature or refers inquiries to proper official or department. Reproduces multiple copies of work. Faxes documents and retrieves faxed documents. Monitors copy machines, fax machines and printers for adequate paper, toner and other operational needs. Makes service requests as necessary. Performs related functions as assigned. Minimum Qualifications RequiredEducation and Experience: High School Diploma including or supplemented by a course in typing; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge of business English and spelling. Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software. Knowledge of assigned department operations, organization, terminology, policies, procedures or ability to acquire such knowledge within a reasonable period of training. Ability to follow simple written and oral instructions. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment. Ability to type at a minimum rate of 40 net words per minute. Ability to accept responsibility and exercise independent judgement. Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relationships. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
