Days Employed: 226Pay Grade: Paraprofessional Level 3Primary Purpose: To provide administrative support to the Director in the accomplishment of maintenance and repair efforts district-wide.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GEDAssociate degree from an accredited college or university ( desired)Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to type 50 words per minute.Ability to keep accurate recordsWorking knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel software as well as Microsoft Systems. Excellent communications writing skillsGood human relation skills ability to work well with others.Good telephone etiquetteExperience: SecretarialMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
Enter maintenance requests into the work order program; issue and print as work orders. Input personnel, hours and material costs after completion.Review Preventive Maintenance and fire safety checklist and make any necessary work orders, respond to City of Victoria Fire Inspections Reports and make any necessary work orders, type communications to the principals, with copies being sent to the superintendent, to inform them of the progress.Create work order reports on a weekly basis.Attend special training for the work order program and assist other office personnel with the new information.Input and distribute work orders received by mail, fax, e-mail or verbal request by maintenance personnel.Answer telephone and direct callers to the appropriate personnel and take messages when necessary.If a school or other district facility is calling to report a maintenance problem, the appropriate personnel must be paged or called to inform them of the problem.General office duties (typing, faxing, making copies, filing etc.).9.
