Position DescriptionThe Clerkship Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Clinical Department Clerkship. The Clerkship Coordinator ensures proper organization and monitoring of medical student activities, as well as ensuring compliance with LCME regulations. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Major/Essential FunctionsFor both the Family Medicine and Psychiatry rotations:
- Creating medical student rotation schedules, and scheduling student lectures, exams, and required experiences.
- Communicating timely and effective messages to students on the current rotation and upcoming rotations.
- Communicating with faculty and residents in the department regarding medical students.
- Data entry for student schedules, evaluations, and grades.
- Proctoring exams.
- Assisting with all medical student events on campus.
- Attending regularly scheduled in-person and Zoom meetings with local team members as well as those across regional campuses.
- Assisting the rotation director with the recruitment of community faculty and orienting community faculty to processes and procedures for educating TTUHSC medical students.
