We are seeking a Client Advisor/CFP® to join our Upstate New York team based out of our Amherst, NY office. This addition to our team will be the financial planning lead on client teams for new and existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated passion for financial planning and providing direct advice to clients. The Client Advisor/CFP® will be directly responsible for managing new client relationships as part of a team approach consisting of a client advisor, an investment advisor, and a client account administrator. The Client Advisor/CFP® will support new business efforts and engage with the broader FLP team to meaningfully contribute to a growing and dynamic firm. Responsibilities:
- Originate, manage, and maintain relationships with clients by earning trust, thoroughly understanding client needs, providing comprehensive advice, and developing thoughtful financial planning solutions while delivering an exceptional client experience
- Oversee the implementation of financial planning recommendations
- Manage client relationships as part of a team (partnering with an Investment Advisor) while identifying and exceeding client expectations by delivering the value proposition of the firm
- Contribute to firm growth through participation in new business presentations across our referral channels and through excellent ongoing client service that elicits referrals from existing clients
- Engage with the firm's strategic planning process and contribute to business advancement initiatives through participation in our Financial Planning Committee and other working groups
- Contribute in every way to advancing the goals and objectives of FLP
- Use internal technology as well as Salesforce CRM and eMoney to meet client service requirements
Qualifications:
- CFP® professional designation and bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of equivalent experience as a financial planner and client advisor
- Dynamic and credible professional who communicates with clarity and has exceptional presentation skills
- Highly versed with all facets of financial planning and client relationship management experience
- Experience with eMoney, Salesforce and Orion a plus
- Experience developing new business through referrals and marketing
- Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team
- Strong community presence with an established network in the upstate NY market
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and applies a disciplined and organized approach throughout their business
