Position:

A Private Advisor Team within our Rockefeller Global Family Office business is seeking a motivated individual to join its growing team as a Client Associate. The Client Associate (CA) actively supports the Private Advisor team with various tasks related to managing the client relationship. This includes in-depth financial planning around all aspects of the clients financial needs, including investment management, consolidated asset allocation analysis & reporting, cash flow, net worth reporting, income tax planning, estate planning, insurance planning, and more. The CA role requires interfacing with clients to determine client needs and expectations, and to communicate to clients as necessary. The CA develops reports that explain complex asset allocation, performance and risk management concepts to clients using the companys proprietary portfolio accounting and reporting software or other applicable system. Handling issues of account management, such as new relationships, trading, investment subscription documents, and daily account activity are important. The CA must be able to reassess priorities as situations arise for multiple clients, and work with other team members to provide back-up and fill-in to balance workloads as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare key documents and financial reports for client meetings (consolidated net worth, consolidated asset allocation, consolidated performance reporting, cash flow analysis, income tax projections, estate plan summaries & flowcharts, P&C insurance summaries, etc.).
  • Liaise with other teams such as Operations, Technology, Investment Solutions Group, to ensure client accounts are compliant and deliverables are timely and accurate.
  • Coordinate with clients outside financial professionals (T&E Attorneys, CPAs, etc.) to ensure client goals & objectives are achieved in an efficient, timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other team members to proof reports and deliver them, with execution instructions, in time for client meetings.
  • Perform one-off financial research requests using third-party data and software, and internal systems. This can include research regarding investment due diligence, tax and estate planning regulations, etc.
  • Handle operational aspects of client accounts including assisting with preparation and review of new account paperwork & subscription documents, money movements, trading, etc.
  • Keep Client Advisors apprised of the status of client relationships and related tasks; escalate client issues as appropriate.
  • Field general questions from clients, manage client expectations by properly balancing needs and resources with deliverables, and escalate new client requests to ensure proper scope of services is addressed.
  • Serve as back-up to other Associates when necessary.
  • Maintain a sense of ownership and accountability for the clients the CA services; communicate clearly, maintain careful records, have attention to detail and follow compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • A BA/BS is required; degree/coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics preferred. Non-finance majors with relevant experience are welcome to apply. Strong academic performance
  • 2-4 years prior customer service experience within banking or finance industry, or equivalent experience, preferred
  • Experience in actual account servicing roles, including on-boarding of new accounts, is a particular plus
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses required
Skills:
  • Basic understanding of investments and/or portfolio reporting and related terminology
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel; ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, present and report on client information; Word, Access and PowerPoint a plus
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and be able to reassess priorities as situations arise
  • Detail-oriented and attention to accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
Compensation Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
