Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as a key data entry resource for the CD team.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and CD managers to accurately capture and maintain comprehensive matter details in the firm's experience database.
  • Prepare relevant experience for inclusion in quarterly league tables, attorney profiles, legal directory and award submissions, and firm-wide pitches and proposals.
  • Partner with CD team members to create and update tailored experience lists for a variety of internal and external purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with IT, marketing, practice group management, and other stakeholders about data needs.
  • Process Chambers and Legal 500 submissions, extracting experience descriptions and other data items for use in the experience/knowledge management platform.
  • Role holder needs to develop at least intermediate knowledge of the practice groups they support.
  • Assist with other CD projects, including client teams, e-marketing, CRM, website, and metrics.
  • Contribute to updates of resource materials (such as guides and FAQs) outlining best practices for capturing experience.
  • Assist with the assembly and production of pitches.
  • Prepare experience data and other types of data for migration into Foundation, including identifying data quality issues.
  • Perform any other duties as necessary and assigned by your supervisor for efficient functioning of the Department, Office, and Firm.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior administrative and/or data entry experience.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical skills, including working knowledge of MS Office and experience working with databases.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, including the ability to work independently, to take a leading role on assigned projects, and to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy of work product, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new software and operating systems.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective work relationships with internal and external clients, including discretion in choosing when to follow up by email or phone to ensure timely responses are received.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks under time pressure when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
