Description

The client finance manager is a vital part of the WI support team. This person will support the Accounting & Finance department and act as a liaison with Account Management and Production leads to understand client budgets, scopes of work, and analyze variances between hours worked and dollars spent against budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial analysis and reporting to assist in financial business decisions and ensure all financial aspects of each client are properly managed.
  • Forecasts company revenue/billings, reviews scopes of work, and prices staff plans.
  • Maintains overall integrity of the financial and management reporting process and ensures compliance with all internal and client requirements.
  • Monitors client budgets and maintains monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting in client-specified scoping and tracking tools as required.
  • Manages accounts receivable processes to ensure timely billing and cash flow for the agency.
  • Ensures monthly review of OOP, Production, and Receivables spend vs. budgets.
  • Oversees the collection of past-due accounts; ensures adherence to contract billing policies; provides summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations.
  • Provides tracking and reporting of labor hours - actuals vs. budgets vs. targets.
  • Provides client and job profitability reporting.
  • Assists in month-end close.
  • Provides support to Senior Management as necessary.
  • Supports various audit compliance efforts (internal and external).
  • Works closely with the Group Account Director, Account Leads, and department designees.
  • Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, PR, or professional services firm.
  • Deltek Maconomy financial system experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Skills:

  • Self-starter, able to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects while delivering results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to frame key questions and perform the analysis needed to answer them.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to link the big picture to details with ease, using data to drive the decision-making process with leadership.
  • Positive and can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to be a team player and leader when necessary.
  • The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
