Northern Bank is currently recruiting for a Client Implementations Practice / Project Manager to join our PMO organization. This is a ground level opportunity within our Digital Solutions group to help establish, define, and manage the Client Implementations process. As a Client Implementations Practice manager, you will define the processes, deliverables, and other details necessary for repeatable and successful client implementations of our digital solutions. You will also lead the implementation projects, interact with clients on regular basis, and provide as needed, individualized customer service. You will need to be closely familiar with how Clients operate and how they leverage our solutions to help meet with their needs. You will be responsible for leading medium to large client projects and/or segments of larger, more complex projects through the project development life cycle. Projects may cross departments and impact various lines of business. You will work closely with sponsors and Systems counterparts to define the project scope, develop the project plan, and manage the project budget. You will be responsible for the execution of project tasks, mitigation of project risks, resolution of issues and management of resources to successfully meet project goals and deliverables. You will lead a team of subject matter experts, analysts, and other participants to ensure successful project execution in accordance with best practices and standards. Part of your duties may also include providing coaching and performance feedback for project team members and communicating effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Define and implement the processes, procedures and artifacts required for a successful and repeatable Client Implementation Practice
- Plan and implement new Client projects for our digital solutions using strong organizational and project management skills
- Provide training and other onboarding services to new Clients and conduct regular support conference calls
- Understand Client needs at a level of detail sufficient to define functional requirements
- Serve as the liaison between Clients and Northern Teams
- Build and foster strong Client relationships
- Provide exemplary customer service via email and phone
- Demonstrate new functionality and communicate Client feedback
- Utilize internal tools and procedures for screen sharing, recording training materials, creating documentation, implementation tracking, and any other way to aid in the implementation of new Client accounts
- Lead the project team and various business units in defining scope, planning, budgeting and control all project tasks, resources and deliverables.
- Apply strong project management standards and best practices to ensure successful execution of projects
- Review business cases, business requirements, functional specifications, and implementation plans
- Effectively communicate project expectations to project members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Ensure thorough testing of all system changes
- Provide project and portfolio status reports and analysis to senior leadership
- Manage scope of project to minimize scope creep. Understand the changing business needs and how it impacts the overall project and recommend solutions
- Collaborate and negotiate project goals across the Bank
Qualifications: - BS/BA degree and/or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years project management related work experience
- Banking industry experience a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, tools and techniques including business case development, ROI analysis, planning and issues management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with negotiation and influencing stakeholders
- Scrum certifications would be a plus
- Notable relationship building skills
- Problem-solving and sound judgment
- Strong Analytical skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
