Job Title: ClientOnboarding Associate Business Unit: Client ServicesLocation: ChicagoReports To: Manager, Client Onboarding Position Summary: The Client Onboarding Associate is essential in managing the documentation and onboarding process for our clients and internal partners. This role involves overseeing account documentation to ensure it is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company and industry regulations. The Associate works directly with clients and internal partners to facilitate a smooth transition from prospect to client at RJO. A strong client focus and the ability to communicate courteously and professionally at all times are crucial for this position.Duties & Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Account Paperwork Review: Process account paperwork for various client types opening accounts at RJO.
  • Client Application Preparation: Prepare client application packs for Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, Credit, and Risk review.
  • Onboarding Flow Management: Manage the onboarding flow for designated clients or divisions within the organization.
  • Liaison with Sales Teams and Clients: Resolve account application and onboarding questions and issues by liaising with sales teams and directly with clients.
  • Client Information Maintenance: Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of client information and static data on internal and vendor-provided systems.
  • System Utilization: Use the firm's internal systems to ensure the onboarding process is updated and efficient.
  • Account Coding: Ensure all coding for new accounts is completed accurately and timely in the RJO Booking system.
  • Account Maintenance & Repaper Process Flows Work on daily account maintenance tasks as well as larger projects on client static data and paperwork refreshes
  • Project Collaboration: Work with other team members on regularly assigned and ad hoc projects, such as account closing reviews and data retention reviews.
  • Email Monitoring: Check daily emails for updates and changes for new and existing accounts.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2-4 years in the securities or financial services industry, with a solid understanding of industry rules and regulations.
  • Client Documentation and Onboarding: Proven experience in managing client documentation and account onboarding is highly preferred.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal business partners.
  • System Proficiency: Competence in using both internal and external systems, with a preference for experience with industry-standard systems and technology.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for assisting with client and internal requests.
  • Self-Motivation and Organization: Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: ACAMS certification is encouraged.
  • Technical Skills: General understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop operating system and basic PC skills.
