Apollo is seeking an individual to join its expanding Client Portfolio Management & Innovation team (CPMI) to focus on the development of new products and distribution channels with a focus on the Credit vertical. The primary goal of CPMI is to help strategically grow Apollo's product offerings and distribution channels through Global Wealth Management Solutions (GWMS.) Falling within Apollo's capital raising unit (Client & Product Solutions), this team is fundamental to the future growth of Apollo's fundraising endeavors. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with current/potential investors to represent Apollo's set of Credit strategies for the Global Wealth Management Solutions (GWMS) platform.
  • Help to drive strategic AUM growth for the firm's Credit strategies.
  • History working with investment management professionals [Portfolio Managers, Credit Research, Market Strategists, trading/portfolio construction professionals] to understand rationale of investments in Apollo Credit strategies
  • Deliver content and messaging tailored to the GWMS investor base.
  • Understand and analyze market dynamics and innovate with respect to driving business development activities and strategies.
  • Utilize breadth of asset class knowledge to lead a range of client dialogues with investors.
  • Engage with the GWMS sales and National Accounts teams in order to continuously evolve pitch/approach to meet market dynamics. Work closely with the broader Credit and CPMI team to hone pitch/positioning on an ongoing basis.
  • Constantly seek to build relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of investors' internal approval processes and how new products fit in the context of their overall portfolios.
  • Actively engage with Advisor Services to maximize flows through tech partners and custodians.
  • Provide intelligence on investor sentiment and competitive landscape.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, speaking engagements
Qualifications & Experience (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)
  • 6+ years of industry experience related to Credit investing and/or Capital Markets.
  • Deep understanding of asset management, how global, diversified firms operate, and how product distribution / fundraising works, specifically in Global Wealth.
  • Experience in business development, strategy, research, and synthesis of research findings.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and pivot between research, analysis and written communication of findings.
  • Self-starter with strong ability to think independently, strategically, and outside-the-box to generate new potential organic growth opportunities.
  • Outstanding written and oral presentation skills must be highly developed and refined in this individual's current responsibilities.
  • Ability to influence the sales process
  • Ability to handle a dynamic, fast paced environment with competing initiatives

Pay Range $175,000 - $235,000 The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
