Client Relationship Specialist (Kilmarnock) provides general administrative support for commercial bankers. Assist with the coordination of loan documentation from origination to loan closing and customer relationships with our commercial clients. This role is responsible for working with the relationship managers and their respective loan portfolios to administer various ongoing loan servicing and loan management functions, deliver comprehensive and prompt customer service to internal and external customers and exercise quality control oversight in the execution of all duties. Position Accountabilities: •Provide general administrative support for commercial bankers based in Kilmarnock. This shall include assisting commercial customers with requests, answering phones and emails, making appointments and organizing schedules, ordering supplies for the department and helping with Northern Neck events. •Assist with obtaining and transmitting information (financial and otherwise) to credit analysis related to underwriting commercial loan requests from the lenders. •Assist with the coordination of efforts from the loan documentation/loan closing area of the Bank to effectively close and or fund new loan transactions, loan modifications and loan renewals/extensions. •Work with the Retail Branch (and Deposit Operations when necessary) to assist with establishing depository relationships with commercial clients or related personal deposits; setting up auto drafts for loan payments, and other deposit related assistance. •Interaction with the lenders to assist in compiling loan request packages, where appropriate and when necessary. •Rough drafting of initial commitment letters based on approved loan parameters, generally to be reviewed/modified and finalized by the respective loan officer. •General portfolio management of existing loan officer portfolios, to include assuring required insurance coverages are in force, financials are requested and organized appropriately, following up on loan documentation exceptions, contact and follow up with clients on past due loan payments (when necessary). •Monitor floor plan loans, assist in adding and paying off units, and ensure that monthly floor plan counts are done and any issued are reconciled in a timely manner. •Exercise good judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality for the Bank's records and customer transactions. •Uphold the Company's image as a strong and responsible corporate citizen to include volunteering at bank sponsored events. •Performs other functions as assigned. Organizational Relationship: This position reports to the Kilmarnock Market Executive Position Administration: FLSA: Non-Exempt Requirements Education & experience: •Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience •General knowledge of commercial lending/commercial banking, particularly the facets related to the process of commercial lending and the coordination of underwriting, documentation, and closing of commercial loan transactions. •Recommendations from previous employers/supervisors would generally be required. Knowledge & Skills: •Successful candidate must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks. •Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual •Excellent written and oral communication skills to include the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, supervisors, co-workers and customers. •Excellent computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn bank specific software products. •Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. •Ability to work independently and be proactive on ongoing responsibilities without specific direction from the lenders.
