Saint John's Program for Real Change mission is to provide a safe space for women and children to heal and develop the skills necessary to transform their lives. We accomplish our mission by holding to our vision to end the generational cycle of trauma and homelessness.

We operate the largest residential program for formerly homeless women and children in the Sacramento region providing services 24 hours/day, 365 days/year, offering shelter, meals, childcare, and comprehensive support services, including Behavioral Health Services, Hands-on Employment Training, Career Education, and Family Services.

Position Overview

TITLE Client Service Coordinator

SALARY From $18.00 To $20.00 Per Hour

CLASSIFICATION Full-Time, Non-Exempt

LOCATION On Site Only - Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA

SCHEDULE Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am

About the Position

The Client Service Coordinator (CS) works under the supervision of the Director to ensure the mission of the agency is implemented with the highest degree of quality and compassion. As a CS team member, you will be responsible for effective and efficient delivery of services to clients, staff, and volunteers. This position is responsible for the safety and security of program participants and the facility. It is the CS's responsibility to supervise and assist program participants with basic needs and transportation. The CS will assist in conflict resolution and crisis intervention and ensure that program participants follow program policies and procedures.

You'll be responsible for

Onboarding:

* Welcome and orient new clients.

* Ensure clients have a smooth transition into the Program.

Crisis and Conflict Resolution:

* Assess and respond to resident crises or conflicts.

* Manage conflicts as they occur.

* Document conflicts.

* Monitor client incidents.

Resident Program Support:

* Facilitate program structure

* Support residents in their recovery and program progress

* Promote attendance at classes, groups, and 12-step meetings

* Respond to residents in a positive, constructive manner

* Maintain a safe, trauma responsive environment

Safety and Security:

* Assess and manage emergencies according to Saint John's emergency protocol.

* Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with residents.

General:

* Regular, predictable attendance is required.

* Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

* Willingness to participate in training for skill development to enhance effectiveness with residents.

* Other duties may be assigned based on business needs

You must have...

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED

* One year's experience working effectively with the public in a community setting

* Fluent in English language (spoken and written)

* Proficient knowledge of email, copiers, fax, and internet

* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

* Punctual and good attendance

* Effective communication skills including both oral and written form

* Attention to detail

* Maintain confidentiality

* A current CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.

* TB clearance, drug screen and fingerprinting will need to be completed before the hire date

* First Aid/CPR certification will be completed after the hire date.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical requirements for performing the essential functions of this position require the employee to be able to:

* Standing/walking approximately 50% and sitting 50% of the time

* Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* Ability to hear and respond to simple and sometimes critical messages exchanged in noisy/high traffic areas.

* Preferred candidates will have a Class B license with a passenger endorsement.
