The Opportunity
A Client Services Consultant I provides day to day administration and management of at least one National Account client. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, end to end, the group benefits of some of MetLife's largest and most complex clients.
Success in the role requires the ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently and creative problem-solving skills. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: responding to client request, acting as liaison between client and internal areas, contributing to project status and strategic planning meetings, coordinating client enrollment/benefit fairs, participating in client driven audits and reviews, and leading client driven projects and requests.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
* Develop and maintain a positive relationship with assigned clients
* Manage the on-going customer service delivery with clients and internal partners
* Provide support to financial team by assisting with billing and reporting.
* Collaborate with the Proposal Unit and Sales to research and respond to RFP questionnaires
* Coordinate the implementation of new clients and addition of MetLife product lines to existing clients
* Create and manage product and client specific processes and reports
* Comprehend legal agreements between MetLife and the client and assists to ensure contracts are in compliance and executed
* Perform other duties as assigned or required
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
* 1-2+ years of relevant experience
* Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
* Working knowledge of internal systems and ability to apply analytical skills to understanding of systems and products.
* Comprehension and ability to communicate provisions of MetLife Core Products (Life, Dental, Disability, Voluntary Benefits, Retirement & Savings)
* Customer service and relationship management skills
* Understanding of how to provide exceptional customer service and how to develop relationships
* Proficient problem-solving skills
* General understanding of U.S. economy and employee benefits industry
* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software
* High School Diploma or equivalent
What Will Set You Apart (Additional Skills)
* Bachelor's Degree
* Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
* Intermediate proficiency or higher with Microsoft Excel (including the ability to use formulas)
* Procedural knowledge of MetLife Core Products (Life, Dental, Disability, Voluntary Benefits, Retirement & Savings)
