Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Advanced Technologies at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and facilitating process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools. The candidate selected will:
* Lead and facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects to improve processes and reduce waste
* Use data and statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize projects
* Train and mentor team members on Lean Six Sigma principles and tools
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
* Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders
* Stay up-to-date on the latest Lean Six Sigma best practices and tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and tools, including DMAIC, 5S, and value stream mapping
* Experience leading and facilitating process improvement projects
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP
* Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Asana
* Experience in a leadership role within a Lean Six Sigma environment
Minimum Qualifications:
* A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, such as engineering, business, or statistics
* Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
