This staff member will not function as a resource staff member, but is able to provide assistance where needed. To assist and observe in performing simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy and/or protocol. May perform various clerical and/or lab duties as requested. To Responds to the unique needs of all patient populations. Position Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or equivalent required. LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:Participants in this Certified Medical Assistant career ladder must obtain the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The NHA CMA certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire or within three (3) attempts of the NHA CMA certification exam occurring prior to one (1) year from the hire date. If the certification is not obtained within one (1) year or after three (3) exam attempts, whichever occurs first, the employee will be granted thirty (30) days to seek an internal, non-certified position through the standard recruitment process.TRAITS & SKILLS:Must be self-directed / self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
