Job Description:
Education:
- Graduate from an approved Licensed Vocational Nursing program with an associates or equivalent degree.
- Current California LVN license or interim permit for LVN.
- Current CPR certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to apply good clinical judgment, plan work, establish priorities and maintain flexibility.
- Proficient written and verbal skills.
- Ability to instruct and teach.
- Ability to use a computer proficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for examinations and assists clinical staff with examination procedures.
- Takes accurate vital signs, performs necessary lab work, and ensures that proper documentation is included in the patients record prior to providers visit.
- Notes appropriate history and reason for visit including: prenatal, immunization, smoking, medical history
- Updates allergy and medication list.
