- Daily operation of clinic ensuring that patient care is provided in a safe and effective manner using the Medical Home model.
- Ensure all levels of staffing and staffing support are within appropriate levels for meeting patient healthcare needs on a daily basis.
- Monitor patient flow for clinic, promote patient satisfaction and see that services are provided in a professional manner.
- Monitor clinic production and review with providers and staff discussing productivity needs and ways to achieve them.
- Participates in the budget development and ensures that the clinic operates within the budget.
- Ensures the security of patient health information is maintained on all patients as per Valley-Wide policy.
- Coordinates with Leadership, regular site meetings to allow clear communication between all members of clinic on matters of importance i.e.; trouble-shooting; conflict resolution and/or needs of clinical site.
- Supervision of staff
- Selection, training, evaluation and performance improvement tasks on direct reporting staff.
- Facilitate staff schedules, monitor and maintain leave, approve timesheets and submit reviewed time to payroll for processing.
- Create, plan and attend monthly meetings (Clinic, Support Staff, Q12, Operations, Committee, PFAC, QI)
- Ensure site facilities are properly maintained and issues addressed/resolved in a timely manner; monitor all aspects of daily clinic operations.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement projects and with AAAHC accreditation process to improve the functions of the clinic and delivery of patient care.
- Partners with all support services/departments (i.e. Patient Care Navigator, Chronic Care Management, Nurse Care Coordinator, WIC, Physical Therapy, IT, HR).
- Work with appropriate departments to ensure proper coding/billing of services is performed.
- Work closely with Infectious Control/Safety Officer, coordinate required drills, OSHA standards and Workman's Comp. claims.
- Investigate all incident/patient complaint reports and follow up appropriately as per policy.
- Monitor patient and staff safety within the facility.
- Conduct Monthly reviews (fire extinguishers, facility walk-thru and quarterly facility inspections).
- Participates in community activities to promote Valley-Wide (i.e. Health Fairs)
- Assists with implementation of special programs/projects (Eye Clinic, Outreach Events)
- Licensed Staff (perform office nurse/dental assistant duties within scope of licensure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years previous management experience, preferably in healthcare.
- BA, BS degree in healthcare management, business preferred
- RN, LPN, Medical Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant with clinical experience highly desired.
- Previous supervision experience or mentoring, demonstrating leadership skills.
- BLS training/certification will be provided upon employment
- Maintain a professional relationship with leadership and all levels of staff; displays positive attitude.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Collaborative, Team-Based mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
