- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
- Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
- Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
- Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
- Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
- Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
- Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.
- Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
