Obtain vital signs and other preliminary information prior to the patient examination. Assist the provider with the examination. Perform routine office testing as ordered. Prepare and administer medications in injectable, aerosol, and other forms. Document appropriately. Receive, process, and respond to tasks, labs and cases in EMR, prescription refills, and other inquiries promptly. Education:RN/LPN: Completion of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.CMA: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited Medical Assisting or equivalent work experience required. CMA certification required within 6 months.Licenses/Certificates:LPN: Illinois LPN license & AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) Certification required.CMA: Certification or registration with a nationally recognized organization required within 6 months of hire. AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required upon hire.Experience: One (1) year of experience in an office or medically related environment preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required.
