Description of the role:Maternity Leave Coverage (12/16/2024 - 2/14/2025The Clinic Nurse position at Cleveland Children's Clinic, PLLC in Cleveland, Mississippi involves providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients. RN or LPN will work under the supervision of physicians and Nurse Practitioners to ensure the well-being and comfort of the young patients.Looking for a friendly and high-energy individual with a great sense of humor who is passionate about working with children and who can perform both clinical and administrative duties in our pediatric clinic. The individual must also enjoy working with a diverse group of patients and willing to go above and beyond to meet patients' needs. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be competent to perform all the duties listed below, conscientious, professional and dependable.Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and collect and record health information
- Administer immunizations and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers on a daily basis and keep accurate records
- Assist in patient examinations and procedures
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- VFC Coordination
- Perform CBC & Lead tests as needed
- Draw blood for various lab tests
- Keep abreast of current nursing trends and continuing education
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Mississippi
- Prior experience in a pediatric clinic is required
- Experience administering injections is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent mental, physical and emotional health
- Above average phlebotomy skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
