Provide clerical and general office support for clinical operations. Responsible for conducting timely admissions for all patients in a professional manner in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Gordon Memorial Health Services.CORE ACCOUNTABILITIESAnswers telephone, directs calls to appropriate person/dept., takes messages, and provides appropriate information.Schedules appointments and registers patients.Collaborates with an inter-disciplinary team approach, acts as an advocate on behalf of patients and families to ensure patient safety and support the facilitation of patient care.Maintains department supplies and equipment.Provides administrative duties in the Clinic.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one month previous office experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educationExperience:List minimum experience required for the position.Then list preferred experienceLicensure and Certification: NoneKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of:Correct telephone answering techniquesSkills in:Excellent computer and typing skillsAbility to:Add, subtract, multiply, and divideGenerate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy / procedures Write reports and correspondenceEffectively communicate Work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships Work with skill in identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method of performance
