The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis is looking for a skilled, innovative, and visionary audiologist with a strong clinical background who would like to work in a stimulating academic setting and direct clinical audiology services and practica. This position is a twelve-month, non-tenure-track line, beginning by August 1, 2025, and will be instrumental in ensuring that the School achieves the goals set out in its strategic plan and in shaping the clinical and clinical education professions.

The candidate must have excellent communication, counseling/coaching, organization, collaboration, and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to addressing the professional need for a diverse and inclusive environment. The follows areas are desired, but not required: Managerial experience, knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, understanding of CAA and CFCC standards, experience working in higher education.

Clinical Faculty Responsibilities:

* Work with faculty on curriculum and program outcomes/design

* Service to School, University, and the profession

* Professional activity and/or leadership

* Teach clinical graduate coursework

* Maintain a line of clinical practice

Administrative Responsibilities:

* Supervise, guide, and encourage audiology clinical faculty

* Advise and mentor AuD students in their clinical education

* Track clinical program progress and report as necessary

* Oversee on- and off-site clinical practica and externships

* Maintain good working relationship with external practicum educators

* Facilitate opportunities for professional development of clinical faculty

* Advocate for new or expanded programs

* Develop clinical programs to meet educational, community, and revenue needs

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Position Qualifications

This position requires an AuD or PhD. The applicant must have CCC-A and eligibility for TN State licensure. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 3 years of experience as a clinical educator is also required.
