Active certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with regulatory boards as required by state laws. Current certification in Basic Life Support Experience of performing administrative duties in healthcare environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR systems, and other relevant software.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with or interest in working with the mental health community Experience with an EMR system Experience with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Teams Prior experience operating within a private practice/outpatient setting Position Specifics:Location: Seneca Office (865 Old Clemson Highway, Seneca, SC 29672) Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30AM-1:00PM Core responsibilities: The medical assistant role is a mixture of administrative tasks with a heavy focus in clinical care coordination, fulfilling various requirements in these categories: Patient care: Administer UDS as directed by policy and ordered by providers. Collect vitals on patients as directed by policy and ordered by providers. Administer or distribute pharmacogenomic tests to patients as ordered by providers. Administer medication samples to patients as ordered by providers, ensuring proper documentation. Act as point of contact via office phone line for patient medication requests or questions, coordinating with providers to handle in a timely manner as directed by policy. Act as office point of contact during pharmacy shortages. Coordinate with others on the internal patient care team to handle patient care needs.Manage clinical inventory:Report clinical supplies (UDS cups, pregnancy tests, PPE, etc) needs to front desk coordinator on a weekly basis.Maintain inventory of sample medications for the specific office location, reporting needs to front desk for coordination with pharmaceutical reps.Check-in all specialty medication orders (i.e. long acting injectables) according to company policy and ensure storage is in line with manufacturer guidelines.Report hazardous waste disposal needs to Multi-Site Office Manager when appropriate. Recordkeeping: Document all patient interactions in the appropriate location as directed by policy.File all sample medication logs in the appropriate location.Other duties as assigned by management. Compensation Package:Competitive Pay$18-$20 per hourSign-On Bonus $1,000 (after 90 days of hire)Paid Time Off (PTO) - 10 days (80 hours) plus one (1) day for each year of employment at iTrust for a possible maximum of 15 days (120 hours).Paid Company Holidays - 5 days (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving) Paid End-of-Year Break (Dec. 24-Jan. 1) - office-wide closure for the holidays to rest and recuperate.
