We are here to improve the quality of life for caregivers and care recipients, allowing them to focus on the important things (like going to the mall with their grandkids)The Clinical Assistant Role:The Clinical Assistant is a critical teammate, focused on serving patients in-person at our medical office in Duxbury and providing customer service to the larger VPC practice. The VPC Duxbury Clinical Assistant will work in our Duxbury clinic 5 days a week. They will facilitate critical patient-related tasks, ensuring that patients and families have both the services and information they need to support chronic care needs. A Clinical Assistant will be a patient-centered individual who enjoys assisting the clinical team in coordinating patient care. They enjoy performing outreach and speaking with older adults and their caregivers. The ideal Clinical Assistant is detail oriented driven to complete tasks with quality and completeness, and enjoys the feeling of completing their task list. This individual prioritizes providing high quality, timely care and sees this as their purpose. The ideal teammate would be able to:Cover front office functions, such as answering phones, checking patients in and out of appointments, and conducting other administrative tasks such as sorting and sending faxes.Serves the front desk with a smile and has strong customer service orientation.Conducts back office support such as scheduling appointments, making confirmation phone calls and other activities as needed.As part of the appointment check-out process, schedules follow-up appointments for patients and distributes the After Visit Summary.Performs precise data entry within the electronic medical record, as appropriate for scope of practice; ensure data quality and accuracy.Maintains up to date medical records, ensuring communication is documented and flows through the electronic medical record.Provides practice support including: contacting members, caregivers, and care team members as directed, works closely with the clinical team to improve the health and care of our members.Other administrative support as needed, which may include coordinating mailings.Would you describe yourself as someone who has:The ability to commute Monday - Friday to and from Vesta Healthcare's clinic located in Duxbury, MA (required)The ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm pm EST (required)Fluency in English and Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese (writing, reading and speaking) (preferred)A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting (required)Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology (required)Knowledge and understanding of chronic care management processes (preferred)A customer service mindset for both internal and external customers (required)Medical Assistant and/or Medical Scribe Certification (preferred) A strong proficiency in computer software navigation; data entry and data hygieneA fundamental knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or similar A demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, displaying good judgment and decision-making skillsUp to date on appropriate vaccinations Ability to perform additional duties as assigned or requestedIn addition to amazing teammates, we also offer:Health, dental, and vision insurance with a choice of many different plans/costs partially subsidized by usPaid vacationPaid Sick/personal days~12 paid holidaysOne time reimbursement to set up your home officeMonthly reimbursement for internet or other home office expensesMonthly gym reimbursement to be used for gyms, online classes, etcBasic Life & AD&D, Short-term and Long-term Disability Benefits paid fully by usVoluntary benefits such as Pet, Home and Auto, Legal Insurance plus morePre-tax Flex Spending/Dependent Care/Transit accounts401k plus matchPay rate is $20.00 hourly.
