Location: Boston,MA, USA
The Clinical Assistant, Plastic and Oral Surgery Clinic will be responsible for:
* Focus includes providing clinical support to Plastic & Oral Surgery clinics, located in Boston and Waltham.
* Interacts, seats, and forms positive relationships with patients and families.
* Collects, verifies, and records required patient information according to established procedures and protocols
* Collects, measures and records basic patient data such as height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
* Identifies and reports findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, and/or Physician.
* Prepares procedural paperwork and post-operative care items for office procedures.
* Prepares exam and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures in accordance with proper sterilization techniques
* Conducts and records daily and monthly required checks such as room temperature, refrigerator temperature, camera calibration, urine HCG
* Assists in unit response to emergencies according to established hospital and unit procedures and delivers supplies/equipment as needed in emergencies.
* Assists clinicians during assessments, examinations and/or procedures.
* Obtains and uploads 2-D and 3-D photos to patient's medical record.
* Transports patients, supplies, pathology, and equipment as needed.
* Maintains, cleans, and stocks clinical supplies and/or equipment.
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Maintains effective working relationships with team members. Communicates courteously, clearly, and effectively to meet the needs of patients, families, visitors and team members.
* Able to provide and receive feedback to problem-solve, resolve conflicts, and seek supervision as needed.
To qualify, you must have:
* A HS Diploma or equivalent.
* Position open to Pre-Nursing or Pre-Physician Assistant applicants who are seeking clinical experience, or required clinical hours.
